In his role as Practice Leader, Garth is responsible for the development, design, and delivery of unique insurance and risk management solutions to protect contractors in the construction industry. This marathon runner began his career in the insurance and risk management industry in 1978, taking on a wide range of positions and responsibilities in several locations of Western Canada. There is a reason he is a leader in his industry—his list of qualifications is a long one, and includes a Business Administration diploma from NAIT, CIP, and honours standings in his CRM, CRIS designations. He has also presented at a variety of construction industry conferences and events, and provided papers for industry papers and periodicals. When he is not assembling his family tree and learning about his descendents in genealogy, his hobbies include skiing with his wife and two daughters and training for marathons. He ran his first one in Chicago in 2006. And while some have toured London, England on a double decker bus, Garth has toured it on foot while running in the famous city’s 2008 marathon.
