Director, Integrations & Compliance

Alberta, Reporting to: COO

THE ROLE

As our Director, Integrations & Compliance you play a pivotal role in supporting the integration of new partner brokers, compliance, quality assurance, and training programs. You will oversee the onboarding of new partner brokers related to EPIC, workflows, compliance, and other integration requirements. You will be a key leader in supporting transitions related to new partner organizational structure changes like assisting over time with splitting Commercial and Personal Insurance processes.

In addition, you will, manage a team of insurance professionals to offer training and development to all operational departments, and provide technical and process audit support identifying operational gaps and recommending improvements.

As a Director, Integrations & Compliance, you are a Strategist, results-oriented, innovative and analytical with a drive for change. You are:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Most importantly, you will lead by example, live our values, support the integration and onboarding of new partner brokers, compliance, quality assurance, and training programs.
  • Serve as a culture leader, fostering collaboration and unity among teams and sectors to cultivate a community of excellence and consistency for our clients.
  • Recruit, coach, lead, and mentor a team of administrative professionals and continually develop diverse talent.
  • Be a critical player in reducing Errors & Omissions exposure, auditing teams to ensure a consistent approach to process and workflows.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams and other leaders to drive consistency on process while providing insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Other duties as required.

Integrations and Onboarding

  • Collaborate with franchise operations to ensure seamless integration of systems and processes across franchise locations.
  • Provide Practice Leader support to offices and teams, offering guidance and assistance in integration-related matters and transition the relationship at critical junctures triggered by size and complexity.
  • Push down the strategic direction of operational departments into the new partner brokers.
  • Be part of the integration efforts during mergers and acquisitions, harmonizing systems and processes for seamless transitions.
  • Support Executive mandates around centralization of functions, such as processing, billing, and other innovative workflows.
  • Work collaboratively with Navacord and internal Operations to drive EPIC productivity and excellence in integration initiatives, ensuring seamless connectivity and interoperability across systems.

Training and Development

  • Collaborate closely with other senior leaders to understand their needs related to learning and development; manage the training facilitators.
  • Project Focus: Spearhead critical projects including Data Strategy (Navacord) and Centralized Invoicing (Local project), maximizing efficiency and accuracy.

Compliance & quality assurance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards across Lloyd Sadd.
  • Oversee and implement QA/QC processes to mitigate E&O exposure and to maintain standards of coverage for each department and major product.
  • Conduct both technical and process audits of organizational procedures, operations, and systems to identify gaps, provide constructive evaluation, and recommend changes and improvements.
  • Lead document management processes.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive system for tracking and categorizing near misses, incidents, and claims, while also coordinating educational initiatives focused on identifying and addressing root causes to prevent future occurrences.
  • Establish and oversee continuing education programs dedicated to errors and omissions (E&O) prevention and mitigation strategies, ensuring ongoing professional development and risk management awareness among staff members.

WHAT WE REQUIRE:

  • Extensive experience in insurance systems, process, and workflows.
  • Strong focus on results-oriented approaches, leveraging effective systems and fostering collaboration among teams to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Academic background comprising post-secondary education, certifications, and noticeable commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Proficiency in analysis, problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making, teamwork, communication, innovation, and adaptability.
