Account Executive, Personal Lines


The VIP Account Executive is responsible for overall new business production and servicing of a group of “high end” clients that are also principals of Lloyd Sadd commercial accounts. The VIP Account Executive will work with an assigned commercial producer. It is expected that commercial representatives will “sell” the VIP service to principals of commercial clients, and refer these principals to the VIP representative for quotation.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide a high standard of service to the existing VIP book of business while still working to expand the client base via referrals and other prospecting activities;
  • Leads can be provided from IBU and Large Commercial and the VIP Account Executive will be required to follow-up on those leads;
  • Both new business and client retention is key to the success of this position;
  • Delivering “best in class” additional services to the same assigned group of clients. Additional services would be defined as those “above and beyond” normal transactional services provided to personal lines clients, and may include attendance at insurer inspections, site visits with commercial lines executives, and creating and implementing additional value added services as appropriate;
  • Participating in the annual business planning process, and having accountability for activities arising out of this process. Annually the unit develops its business plan designed to improve our VIP operations, and typically each rep will be individually or jointly responsible for implementation of activities arising from the business plan;
  • Incremental revenue by identifying new business opportunities and acquiring new business for the company;
  • Expand sales on existing accounts by cross selling additional products;
  • Ensure that strong long term customer relationships are created by providing value added services;
  • Maintain a current knowledge base of various insurance products and services
  • Managing A/R of existing client base;
  • Working with VIP team members to provide an exceptional customer service experience;


  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years personal lines experience preferred;
  • Level 2 General Insurance License;
  • Successful completion of CIP or CAIB program or be working towards it;
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with key business partners and clients;
  • Skill in analysis, problem solving, critical thinking, decision making and working ahead of potential challenges;
  • Skill in teamwork, communication, innovation, and adaptability, along with a customer focus, results orientation, and business sense;
  • Ability to effectively participate in multiple projects and meet aggressive deadlines;
  • High degree of resourcefulness and flexibility;
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to internal stakeholders and external clients;
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
