Growing up around construction, Lisa’s father was a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician, Lisa discovered at an early age that the construction industry brought a variety of career opportunities. Working with her father as a “helper” Lisa also discovered that she is, as her father has affectionately referred to her, “a fair weather electrician” and a future as a tradesperson would be an unlikely fit. In spite of this revelation Lisa has been known to don her PPE and accompany her clients to work sites as she learns about their businesses. A keen interest in the Alberta construction industry has brought Lisa to where she is today having gained 15+ years’ experience in the insurance industry with a focus on construction risk. Lisa’s past experience as a Construction Underwriting Specialist at an international insurance company led to her current role as a Senior Advisor in Lloyd Sadd’s construction practice. Having worked as an Underwriting Specialist, Lisa’s expertise allows her to position her clients favourably to insurance companies and ensure clients get the best possible program to match their specific risk appetite. Lisa always strives to bring her very best to the work she does and isn’t afraid to get her boots dirty in that endeavor. Lisa’s goal is to build strong, long term, mutually beneficial relationships with clients. In her spare time Lisa is a hockey mom of two boys, Vice President of her community league and an occasional runner.
